News
17.01.2010: Pictures and media appearances.
15.01.2010: We will not be able to register any guests online or change events for registrations already made after about 4PM today. You will have to tell us those things at the competition.
12.01.2010: The registration for new competitors is now closed. However, registration as a guest is still possible.
04.01.2010: The registration for new competitors will be closed on Tuesday, January 12. Guests will still be able to register
23.12.2009: Due to the really tight schedule and the number of already registered competitors, we decided to put all new registrations for 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6, 7x7x7 and 3x3x3 One-Handed on waiting lists.
04.12.2009: There is no room left to stay in our private places. Sorry!
01.12.2009: The competition will be held in Lecture Hall Aula II of RWTH Aachen University.
30.11.2009: We just received our 100th registration for the 3x3x3 main event after only 9 days. We therefore have (if everybody comes) more competitors than any other official german WCA competition in the history of speedcubing!
23.11.2009: A small status update: Registration opened exactly 48 hours ago and the World Cube Association announced the competition about 10 hours ago on their website. We just received the 50th registration (this took more than a whole month at Aachen Open 2009!) This is going to be really exciting ;-)
21.11.2009: Website launched. Registration is now open.

How much does it cost?
The entrance fee will probably (!) be 5 euro per person per day.
This applies to everyone (except reporters), no matter if you are a competitor, guest,
parent of a competitor or someone else!
Where can I sleep?
There are plenty of hotels in Aachen, check for example www.hrs.de and look
for hotels in "Aachen Zentrum", for example
the Aquis Grana City Hotel Aachen.
Aaaah, I never attended a competition and I feel totally lost!
Don't panic! Everybody is welcome and it's not about winning. You will most likely not be the only one who
needs more than a minute to solve the cube.
There will be plenty of time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the
Stackmat timer) and discuss the
rules, if you have questions. However, every competitor should have read the
official WCA regulations at least once
before attending a competition!
I have questions, which are not answered by this website!
Please feel free to write a mail to cube@hackvalue.de!
